Ah, who doesn't love a good New Year's Resolutions post? Even though I've been a little quiet on the blogging front -- because production has increased 150%! woot! -- I still love dreaming, reaching, and outlining my goals for each year.
My favorite tactic is to reflect on the previous year: what worked stellar? What needs improved? What would be a wild accomplishment? What gives back to my family and betters our lifestyle (more together time)? How am I going to accomplish each one?
Most are business related goals, because I'm a work-a-holic by nature, but I'm also listing a few personal ones to remind me everything has a season: a season to create, a season to be a mom, etc. I'm also including how to accomplish each goal realistically.
Continuing along the New Mom series, I thought I'd share another post I'd written when EJ was still young and I was struggling with finding a few moments of "me" time.
Trying to find the new normal is a constant juggling act when you become a new parent. I've rounded up my thoughts from the first year (notes taken here and there) into a hopefully cohesive list of what I tried to do to stay sane and create a healthy lifestyle.
I originally rounded up my favorite new-mom essentials to celebrate my #MakersMondayFeature on 3and3handmadeshop's Instagram to highlight what got us through EJ's first year.
But now that we have Baby #2 on the way, I'll be revisiting plenty of these shops to restock on their amazing products and as well as a mental refresher on going back to the beginning.
Hmm… Coffee tastes like sweet, old memories this morning… :) It's been a while (3 years?) since I can remember sipping coffee in my sweatpants, dreaming up what I'm going to blog about next. But this morning feels different; it's time to share our exciting news and I'm also overdue for "Resolutions" post of some sort. This year my 2016 resolutions are a mixture of personal and business related.
But first, because I'm not good at holding anticipation…
Hello! I haven't forgotten my blog or any of my friends while I've been absent. Actually, I've very much wanted to pop in and tell you the exciting news as to WHY I haven't been able to update social media or my blog or even my SHOP since September but it just wasn't time to spill the beans yet.
Instagram has become my favorite platform for connecting with other crafters + makers. This month I got the chance to send Brenda at 3and3Handmadeshop a set of newborn mittens for her personal review on Instagram.
Last weekend we visited Put-in-Bay, Ohio for the first time and it was also our first time ever leaving our daughter overnight! One of the highlights of the weekend was a "sale in the wild" of a *new design*.
After a busy, exhausting weekend, I have a lot of fun events coming up this week! The August Art Walk is this Thursday! & Friday is my second class teaching the Shell Mini-Cowl. Plus get a sneak peak at exciting new offerings coming this fall & winter!
After a 98mph tornado ripped through Glen Arbor, Michigan, I am reminded to be grateful for the luxuries I have, even when the power + water are out on vacation.
